  • James McManis

    James McManis

    CLINIC DIRECTOR + REGISTERED PSYCHOLOGIST (Clinical Psychology Registrar)

    STAP Supervisor, Advanced NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner, Master of Forensic Mental Health, Master of Clinical Psychology

    James McManis is our Clinic Director, and has worked with families and supporting children in the Gympie community for the past 12 years.

    James has a Master of Forensic Mental Health and is currently completing his Master of Clinical Psychology. He is also a registered STAP Supervisor and Advanced NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner.

  • Vicky Tsiakalakis

    Vicky Tsiakalakis

    REGISTERED PSYCHOLOGIST

    Bachelor of Arts (Psychology), Graduate Diploma in Psychology, Masters of Development and Education

    Vicky is a Registered Psychologist who is passionate about making a positive difference in children’s lives. She has a postgraduate degree in educational psychology, which gives her a unique skill set to help support children at school.

    Vicky regularly consults with teachers around behaviour management and provides education on how to best support kids' psychological needs in the classroom.

    REGISTERED PSYCHOLOGIST

    Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) - Honours     

    Simon Robbrown is our Provisional Psychologist, who has a passion for working with children and young people, and those living with disabilities. Simon has a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) (Honours) from the University of the Sunshine Coast.

    Simon brings a wealth of experience from the community sector, having worked as an after school care assistant, an applied behaviour therapist, a disability support worker, a youth worker, a transition case manager, and a coordinator of youth workers.

  • Sally Bryant

    Sally Bryant

    REGISTERED PSYCHOLOGIST

    BEdu, M.Ed., Grad.Dip (Psych), PGrad.Dip(Psych) - plus Phd candidate 

    Sally has over fifteen years experience in the education sector as a registered teacher and psychologist, and has established herself as a trusting professional in the field of psychoeducation and psychotherapy. She provides high quality counselling and assessment of children, adolescents and adults.

    Sally specialises in a wide range of areas including childhood developmental disorders, learning difficulties, intellectual disability, anxiety, depression, and trauma.  Sally’s therapeutic style is a unique blend of evidence-based practices (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness) combined with expressive therapies such as Sandplay Therapy and Play Therapy.

    Sally is currently a PhD candidate with the University of Southern Queensland researching the benefits of Sandplay therapy with older adults in Australia. 

  • Tom Henry

    Tom Henry

    REGISTERED PSYCHOLOGIST

    Masters Degree in Health Psychology, Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sport Science

    Tom Henry is a Registered Psychologist with a passion for helping young people and their families to navigate the complexities of life by developing insight, emotional regulation and relational life skills. 

    With over a decade of experience in yoga, mindfulness and fitness, Tom understands the importance of a holistic approach to therapy.  

    Tom currently works with children and young people from 7 years of age, predominantly using evidence-based interventions such as ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) as well as play and art therapy techniques depending on the goals of the individual. 

    Tom is also passionate about men’s mental health and working with young men to find meaning and purpose in their lives. Having served in the Royal Marines Commandos where he deployed to Afghanistan in 2007, he has a unique blend of experiences that allow him to connect with clients from all walks of life.

  • Nicole Davison

    Nicole Davison

    PROVISIONAL PSYCHOLOGIST

    Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) and Master of Professional Psychology

    Nicole Davison is a dedicated Provisional Psychologist with a strong foundation in psychological science. After completing her Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) at Central Queensland University, Nicole further honed her skills with a Master of Professional Psychology at La Trobe University.

    She is passionate about providing support to neurodiverse populations and offering mental health services to individuals across the lifespan. Nicole is committed to fostering a safe, empathetic, and collaborative environment where clients can explore their challenges and work towards personal growth and well-being.

  • Madison Sundgren

    Madison Sundgren

    REGISTERED PSYCHOLOGIST (Clinical Psychology Registrar - on maternity leave)

    Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and Master of Psychology (Clinical)     

    Madison holds a Master’s in Clinical Psychology and brings extensive experience to her practice. She has experience offering therapeutic and assessment services in schools, private practice, and community mental health settings, including Child and Youth Mental Health Service and Child Development Service.

    Madison has transitioned to private practice to foster a better work-life balance, allowing more quality time with her young family.

  • Juanita Brook

    Juanita Brook

    CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

    Master of Psychology (Clinical)   

    Juanita is a Registered Psychologist and Clinical Psychology Registrar. She completed her Master of Psychology (Clinical) at the University of the Sunshine Coast and previous psychology related degrees at Deakin University in Melbourne.

    Juanita has worked as a psychologist and in crisis support across multiple settings including Private Practice, Child & Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS), Student Wellbeing (UniSC), Nambour State School, Thompson Institute Psychology Clinic, Lifeline, and Sands Australia.

  • Tamara Burriss

    Tamara Burriss

    BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT PRACTITIONER

    Bachelors of Arts (Psychology and Business), Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education

    Tamara Burriss is our psychology assistant. She loves working with children and their families to create an environment where children thrive. Tamara is also a registered teacher. 

    With her teaching background, Tamara easily engages schools implementing Positive Behaviour Support plans. She also upskills teachers on using strategies in the classroom. Tamara is experienced in modifying the school curriculum, making sure it includes and supports children's interests.

    BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT PRACTITIONER

    Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology and Behaviour Science), Master of Social Work, PhD Candidate (Disability Discrimination)

    As an experienced NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner, Katrina brings a wealth of expertise and dedication to empowering individuals with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives. With over 18 years of experience working with people with disability, she is committed to providing personalised, evidence-based interventions that promote positive behaviour change and enhance overall wellbeing.

    Katrina takes a holistic approach, considering a person's strengths, preferences, and aspirations to tailor interventions that resonate with their goals and values. She works closely with participants, their families, support workers, and allied health professionals to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach.

    By fostering open communication and mutual respect, Katrina supports advocacy, facilitates shared decision-making, and empowers stakeholders to participate actively in the process. Together, we can embark on a journey of empowerment and resilience.

    Olivia is an experienced and compassionate Behaviour Support Practitioner who is dedicated to helping individuals reach their full potential and live more meaningful, fulfilling lives. With a strong foundation in Positive Behaviour Support, Olivia brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to develop individualised, evidence-based plans that focus on enhancing quality of life and achieving personal goals.

    Olivia holds a Bachelor of Business and a Bachelor of Behavioural Science, backed by years of hands-on experience working with children, teens, and adults. She specialises in understanding the unique challenges and strengths of each individual, tailoring her support to meet their specific needs. Whether conducting functional behaviour assessments or implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans, Olivia’s approach is always collaborative, person-centred, and grounded in empathy and respect.

    Skilled in helping individuals navigate complex behavioural challenges, Olivia addresses underlying needs and builds empowering strategies for both clients and their support networks. Passionate about reducing restrictive practices and promoting inclusion, she ensures every client feels heard, valued, and supported throughout their journey.

    Olivia takes a hands-on approach to foster genuine connections with her clients, their families, and the broader healthcare teams, ensuring a holistic and supportive experience.
